What you need to know about Saturday's Kenny Chesney concert in Pittsburgh

He’s baaaack!

Kenny Chesney, the country superstar famed for songs about trucks, beer and beaches, will play his first Heinz Field show since since 2018 on Saturday.

For his 11th trip to the stadium, on the Here And Now Tour, Chesney will be joined by the Grammy-winning Dan + Shay (featuring North Allegheny High School and Carnegie Mellon grad Dan Smyers), Old Dominion and Carly Pearce.

“I can’t wait,” the singer from East Tennessee said of the tour. “Literally, here and now. In the moment. All of us together, like we’ve been so many times, but fresh and alive and in the music. That’s why we’re calling it Here And Now 2022. It’s the perfect name for this tour.”

The festivities begin on Art Rooney Avenue at noon with local radio broadcasts, an interactive Kenny Chesney Tour bus, food, beverages and more.

Parking lots open at 1 p.m. Gates open at 4 p.m. and the concert begins at 5 p.m. Ticketholders with floor seats must enter Gate 6 in the north end zone on Reedsdale Street.

As Pittsburghers well know, there is some bad history with trash and other problems in the lots. On that note, there is a parking lot code of conduct:

• Upon entering, fans will receive trash and recycling bags and trash must be disposed of properly.

• The following are prohibited: solicitation of any kind, the sale of food and alcohol, glass containers, tents, personal port-a-johns, furniture (other than folding lawn chairs and tables), and oversized vehicles.

The NFL’s Clear Bag Policy will be in effect. Fans are encouraged not to bring a bag into the event. If necessary, there are two options: a clear plastic bag the size of a 1-gallon Ziploc bag or a small hand-held purse clutch. For more information on the bag policy, visit HeinzField.com/bagpolicy.

In addition, the following items are not permitted in the stadium: selfie sticks, coolers, bags (see bag policy), thermoses, backpacks, large purses, cans, glass bottles, flasks, alcoholic beverages, laser pointers, noisemakers, strollers, video and movie cameras, tripods, audio recording equipment, weapons and any other items deemed dangerous and/or inappropriate.

Mayor Ed Gainey discusses public safety issues in the city’s South Side neighborhood during a press conference at Pittsburgh Police headquarters on the North Side on Friday, June 10, 2022. In the background are, from left, Lt. Steven C. Dowling of the Pennsylvania State Police; Cmdr. Richard Ford of the city’s major crimes unit; Cmdr John Fisher of Zone 3; Cmdr Cristyn Zett of Zone 6; and Assistant Chief Linda Barone.

All bags are subject to inspection. Umbrellas may be brought into the stadium but are not permitted to be open in the seating bowl.

• Fans who park Downtown can use the T to get to Heinz Field. Use the Gateway or Wood Street stations in Downtown and get off at the North Side or Allegheny stations.

• Fans who park at Station Square can utilize the Gateway Clipper to reach the North Shore.

• The majority of the Pittsburgh Parking Authority Lots downtown will have a rate of approximately $15 for event day parking that will vary by lot.

• Heinz Field is a cashless venue, so bring credit and debit cards for purchases.

Printed Tickets purchased previously (2019-2022) are redeemable.

Tickets are still available at www.ticketmaster.com/event/1600571AB7C75E21.
