Mick Jagger, Dave Grohl unleash thrashy lockdown rocker 'Eazy Sleazy'

Mick Jagger bypasses The Rolling Stones to have Dave Grohl act as just about the whole band on the surprise new single “Eazy Sleazy.”

The Foo Fighter calls it “the song of the summer, without a doubt!”

The thrashy rocker, which meets the Stones and Foo Fighters halfway, finds the 77-year-old Jagger, in supernaturally fine form, venting his frustrations about the COVID lockdown, with its canceled tours, “poncey books,” zoom calls and “way too much TV, it’s lobotomizing me.”

In the funniest verse, Jagger lampoons a few of 2020’s conspiracy theories, singing “Shooting the vaccine/Bill Gates is in my bloodstream/It’s mind control/The Earth is flat and cold/It’s never warming up/The Arctic’s turned to slush/The Second Coming’s late/and there’s aliens in the Deep State.”

The good news, he declares in the chorus is that coming out of it, “Everything’s gonna be really FREAKY”

Jagger has a history of falling a little flat without the Stones, but this one does seem like a winner

“It’s a song that I wrote about coming out of lockdown, with some much-needed optimism,” he noted. “Thanks to Dave Grohl for jumping on drums, bass and guitar, it was a lot of fun working with him.”

Grohl added, “It’s hard to put into words what recording this song with Sir Mick means to me. It’s beyond a dream come true.”
