James Taylor, Jackson Browne coming to PPG Paints Arena in June

Two legends on the folk-rock side of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will pay Pittsburgh a visit in June.

James Taylor and His All-Star Band will play the PPG Paints Arena on June 16 with Jackson Browne.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7 at ticketmaster.com.

This will be the first time that the two artists have appeared on one bill together in Pittsburgh. As for the “All-Star Band” part, Taylor’s all stars are not like Ringo’s all stars with a bunch of singers from other bands. His all stars include veteran session players like drummer Steve Gadd, percussionist Louis Conte, guitarist Michael Landau and saxophonist Lou Marini.

Taylor has two new projects for early 2020. The first is “Break Shot,” an audio-only memoir detailing his first 21 years. He will also be releasing a new album of standards on Fantasy Records.
