Pete Davidson made it clear Monday night that ripping on Mac Miller would not be tolerated at his shows.
While performing at New Jersey's South Orange Performing Arts Center, the “Saturday Night Live” star had a heckler removed for disrespecting the Pittsburgh rapper and former boyfriend of his former fiance, Ariana Grande.
Davidson, as heard on an audio clip that TMZ shared Tuesday, was setting up a bit, saying, “My friend died in my apartment," at which point a crowd member hollered out, “Mac Miller?”
Davidson stopped and demanded, “Who’s that guy? We’re getting him out … I will not continue until that kid is gone, find him. Give him his money back and get him the (expletive) out. I don’t deal with that (expletive) at my shows.”
He continued once the heckler was removed from the venue.
Davidson became engaged to Grande shortly after her romance with Miller ended in May. That engagement ended in October, a month after Miller died from an accidental drug overdose.
Grande has also lashed out on Twitter at trolls mocking Miller’s death.
