“The Penguin Lessons”: Heartwarming comedy adapted from Tom Michell's 2016 memoir finds a British teacher (Steve Coogan) adopting an orphaned penguin in 1976 Argentina amid the country’s turbulent backdrop.
“The Ballad of Wallis Island”: British comedy stars Tim Key as an eccentric lottery winner trying to reunite his favorite musicians (Tom Basden and Carey Mulligan) for a private show on his remote island.

“The Brutalist”: Adrien Brody claimed his second best actor Oscar for his portrayal of an architect who comes to America after surviving the Holocaust and becomes enmeshed with an industrialist patron in director Brady Corbet's 3.5-hour saga. The large supporting cast boasts Felicity Jones and Guy Pearce, both Oscar nominated.
“Memoir of a Snail”: A woman recounts her life story to her favorite snail in this stop-motion animated film from Australian writer-director Adam Elliot.
“Ex-Husbands”: A father facing divorce makes himself an unwelcome addition to his son's Mexico bachelor party in this dramedy.
“Mother, Couch”: Ellen Burstyn stars as the titular matriarch who won't get up from a furniture store sofa in this dark comedy featuring Ewan McGregor, Rhys Ifans and Lara Flynn Boyle as her children who converge on the scene.
“Standing on the Shoulders of Kitties”: This "Trailer Park Boys" production finds Bubbles stranded in Europe and needing to get back to Canada with the aid of Ricky and Julian.
“Star Trek: Lower Decks — The Final Season”: The Paramount+ animated series returns to spaceport after five seasons following the exploits of the U.S.S. Cerritos crew.

“Mickey 17”: Seeking to escape his problems on Earth, Mickey (Robert Pattinson) joins an expedition to another planet where he becomes an "expendable" — his body reprinted again and again when he dies — in the latest film from "Parasite" director Bong Joon Ho.

Mumford & Sons, “Rushmere”: The first album in seven years from the Grammy-winning British band, and first since the departure of Winston Marshall, was produced by Dave Cobb in Nashville, Savannah and the U.K.
Deafheaven, “Lonely People With Power”: Sixth album from the Bay Area band that combines black metal and shoegaze is led by the thrashy single “Magnolia.”
Lucy Dacus, “Forever Is A Feeling”: The singer-songwriter’s fourth album, and first since her work with boygenius, features contributions from Hozier, Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, Blake Mills, Bartees Strange and Madison Cunningham.
Destroyer, “Dan's Boogie”: The 14th album from the Canadian indie-rock band led by Dan Bejar of The New Pornographers promises “spectacle-laden pop epics, personal piano ballads, and smouldering works of mood.”
The Darkness, “Dreams On Toast”: On the British hard-rock band’s eighth album, frontman Justin Hawkins said in a statement, “[We] knuckled down and thought really hard about the best of the best, the elite songs, the life-changing music of the ages. Then we popped out a dozen bangers before lunch.”

“The Thomas Crown Affair” (TCM, 8 p.m.): Bored billionaire Thomas Crown (Pierce Brosnan) finds amusement in stealing priceless artwork. However, he meets his match when his plan to steal a Monet from a reputable museum attracts the attention of a seductive detective (Rene Russo).
“Top Chef” (BRAVO, 9 p.m.): As Season 22 of this long-running cooking competition rolls on, the remaining chefs continue to integrate the unique cuisine of the Great White North into their dishes to the delight of host Kristen Kish and judges Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons.
“Found” (WPXI, 10 p.m.): Gabi Mosely (Shanola Hampton) is a recovery specialist skilled at finding missing people that the world has seemingly forgotten about. Along with her team, she uses her firsthand experience as a victim to search for people who've vanished without a trace.
“Accused: Did I Do It?” (A&E, 10 p.m.): This series premiere follows the case of a man on trial for stabbing five people to death while on vacation. The Defense argue that the man's actions were done in self-defense, while the Prosecution believe it was all intentional. What is the truth?

“The Life List” (Netflix): Sofia Carson stars as a woman trying to make good on her childhood aspirations.
“Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” (FOOD, 9 p.m.): During this latest episode, Guy gets a craving to revisit some of the most innovative eateries he's been to. As such, he heads to Phoenix for creative fritters, Buffalo, N.Y., for unique pancakes and Goshen, Ind., for snapper soup.
“Jacqueline du Pré: Genius and Tragedy” (WQED, 9 p.m.): Grammy-winning cellist Yo-Yo Ma narrates this new documentary covering the life and career of world-renowned cellist Jacqueline du Pré. Considered one of the greatest cellists to ever perform, du Pré's life was tragically cut short by multiple sclerosis.

“Hearts Around the Table: Shari's Second Act” (HALL, 8 p.m.): The second "Hearts Around the Table" movie follows Shari (Mishael Morgan), a young woman that moves back to Washington, D.C., following a breakup. Hoping to get back into painting, Shari has a chance meeting with a gallery owner (Brendan Morgan).
“Wife Stalker” (LIFE, 8 p.m.): Based on the Liv Constantine novel of the same name, this film follows Joanna (Keshia Knight Pulliam), a lovely wife that must defend her perfect marriage to Leo (Trai Byers) from the deadly Piper (Grace Byers), the owner of a local wellness center.
2025 World Figure Skating Championships (WPXI, 8 p.m.): The final competition of the 2025 World Figure Skating Championships gets underway tonight at TD Garden in Boston with Men's Free Skate. The top male skaters, including defending champion Ilia Malinin, compete to etch their name in skating history.
“Catch-22” (TCM, 10 p.m.): This satirical comedy based on John Heller's popular novel follows Capt. John Yossarian (Alan Arkin) as he attempts to get sent home by convincing his superiors that he's unfit to fly. However, Yossarian soon learns his efforts are in vain.
Sunday
“Tournament of Champions” (FOOD, 8 p.m.): The Super 16 are back in the kitchen arena and ready to go head-to-head as they edge closer to the final. Host Guy Fieri has decided to dial up the randomizer, making things more difficult than ever as key matchups set the tone.
“The Americas” (WPXI, 8 p.m.): Tom Hanks narrates an all-new episode of this unprecedented docuseries. This episode focuses on the Caribbean, which features a diverse environment filled with sailfish, sperm whales, red crabs, hummingbirds, capuchin monkeys and much more.
“The Simpsons” (WPGH, 8 p.m.): This midseason return finds Bart trying his hand at celebrity deejaying, bringing house music to the streets. Then, in a send-up to "The Banshees of Inisherin," Homer pushes Flanders over the edge, creating unexpected circumstances for all.
“Call the Midwife” (WQED, 8 p.m.: This Season 14 premiere welcomes the dawn of the '70s as the ladies work to support a pregnant teenager whose parents are convinced is experiencing Immaculate Conception. Protests continue to challenge work. And, Nancy (Megan Cusack) finds romance.
