Amazing Books and Records announces closing of South Side store

Amazing Books & Records announced on Facebook that it is closing its South Side store at the end of this month, and vowing to say farewell "in a blaze of glory."

Funk band Chillent will provide the accompaniment to “book and record deals that’ll make you squeal” for the shop’s “Blaze of Glory” event, 7-10 p.m. May 24. Everything in the store this month has been 25 percent or more off when you buy four or more items, or 30 percent for 10 or more, with “even sweeter” deals at the closing party.

The South Side store is at 1317 E. Carson St. The other Amazing Books locations — 929 Liberty Ave., Downtown, and 2030 Murray Ave., Squirrel Hill — remain open.
