Author Stephen King will visit Sewickley on June 8, one day after his newest book, “End of Watch,” is published. He is visiting 12 small towns to promote independent bookstores, including Penguin Bookshop cq in Sewickley, cq which is sponsoring his appearance.
“He is is really a wonderful, compassionate, decent man who is obviously committed to small towns and independent book selling,” said Susan Hans O’Connor, owner of Penguin Bookshop.
She said the event will be ticketed and asked fans to go to the store’s website, www.penguinbookshop.com, or follow the store on social media. Mr. King will speak, read from his book and answer questions. Ticket prices will include a copy of the book, some of which will be signed.
