Art All Night back for its 20th year

If you’re measuring time with Art All Night: Lawrenceville events, this is number 20.

The 20th anniversary installment of the popular non-juried, uncensored exhibit will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday and run through 2 p.m. Sunday at 85 36th Street. It will feature original artwork, children’s and collaborative activities, an art auction and live bands and comedians.

Where: 85 36th Street, Lawrenceville.

Hours: 4 p.m. Saturday-2 p.m. Sunday.

Admission: Free; donations support Art All Night; facebook.com/artallnight and follow @ArtAllNight on Instagram.

Art work is accepted in all mediums and regardless of age or skill level. There is still time to submit a piece by registering at artallnight.org and dropping off the work between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m Saturday. All artwork must be ready to hang or otherwise be displayed. Artists submitting work need to show a photo ID during both registration and pickup, which is from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

There will be artists onsite creating a work of art and a live art auction held at noon on Sunday to bid on pieces created during the 22-hour period. Art All Night merchandise also is available for purchase.

Children’s activities will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to noon Sunday in the youth-friendly section of the show. Children and families can do CD scratch mandalas, chalk art, yarn and marble painting, and contribute to the collaborative piece, “Unity in Diversity.” There will be the puppeteers, storytellers, silk screening, button making and the cardboard village.
