Kickoff time changed for Steelers preseason opener against Lions

The Steelers announced today a time change for their 2016 preseason opener against the Detroit Lions.

The game has been moved to a 7 p.m. kickoff Aug. 12 after it was originally scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. It will be shown on KDKA-TV. The change was made to accommodate the NFL network.

The Steelers remaining preseason slate includes an Aug. 18 home game against the Eagles (7 p.m.) and road contests Aug. 26 against the Saints (8 p.m.) and Sept. 1 against the Panthers (7:30 p.m.).

The Steelers open the regular season at 7:10 p.m. Sept. 12 against the Redskins on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football.”
