Pitt standout Lamar Patterson, at one point a candidate for Atlantic Coast Conference player of the year, was named to the All-ACC second team by the coaches and the media today. Talib Zanna was named honorable mention by both groups.
Duke’s Jabari Parker, N.C. State’s T.J. Warren, North Carolina’s Marcus Paige and Syracuse’s C.J. Fair were all named to the first team by both groups. The fifth member of the coaches' team is Virginia’s Malcolm Brogdon and the media filled out its first team with Clemson’s K.J. McDaniels.
Florida State’s Ian Miller was the sixth man award winner and Paige was the most improved player. The All-defensive team was McDaniels, Daniel Miller, Georgia Tech, Akil Mitchell, Virginia, Okaro White, Florida State and J.P. Tokoto, North Carolina.
Tyler Ennis of Syracuse, Rodney Hood of Duke and Joe Harris of Virginia joined Patterson on the coaches second team.
The ACC tournament begins Wednesday at Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina and will conclude with the championship game Sunday afternoon.
