Full-time female workers in Pennsylvania earned 79 percent of men's median wages in 2008, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics said today. Women's median weekly earnings were $642 compared with $815 for men.
Women nationwide earned 80 percent of men's earnings or a median $638 per week compared with $798 for men.
In 2007, women in Pennsylvania earned 77.4 percent of men's median weekly pay.
