UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. --- Much-maligned quarterback Terrelle Pryor enjoyed a triumphant homecoming in his first trip to Happy Valley as a visiting player.
Pryor threw two touchdown passes and ran for another, carrying No. 15 Ohio State to a 24-7 victory over No. 11 Penn State today before 110,033 fans at Beaver Stadium.
Pryor, the former Jeannette High School star who chose Ohio State over Penn State two years ago, earned a bit of revenge after losing to the Nittany Lions, 13-6, last season in Columbus, Ohio.
He tossed a 62-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver DeVier Posey and a 6-yarder to tailback Brandon Saine, both in the second half.
Pryor also scored on a 7-yard run in the first quarter and Devin Barclay added a 37-yard field goal for the Buckeyes (8-2, 5-1 Big Ten), who moved into a first-place tie with Iowa (9-1, 5-1) atop the conference standings.
Penn State (8-2, 4-2) had its five-game winning streak snapped in the 300th game in Beaver Stadium history. Quarterback Daryll Clark accounted for the Lions' lone score, a 1-yard sneak that tied the game 7-7 early in the second quarter.
