Saturday, November 07, 2009

Bill Arch's 6-yard touchdown run with 30 seconds left broke a 14-14 tie and lifted No. 12-seed Springdale (8-2) to a 21-14 upset at Monessen (7-3) last night.

The Greyhounds had tied the game earlier in the quarter on a Terrance Stepoli touchdown pass and two-point conversion, but Monessen had no answer for the Springdale ground attack.

The Dynamos racked up 318 of their 354 yards rushing. Arch (145 rushing yards) and Sean Dugan (111) led the way for Springdale.
