"That's playoff football," Beaver Falls coach Ryan Matsook said. "You have to be able to run the ball to win in the playoffs. Cody and Admire are disciplined runners who both have a lot of playoff experience. The line did a very good job in getting them loose."
Beaver Falls is making its third consecutive playoff appearance. The Tigers advanced to the WPIAL title game the past two years but had to settle for runner-up both times.
Steel Valley was making its third playoff appearance in four years.
The Ironmen scored on a 76-yard run by Delrece Williams and an 8-yard pass from Jared Jurisky to Nate Blazovich.
Beaver Falls accumulated 480 yards in offense, while Steel Valley had 190 yards.
Beaver Falls will face Sto-Rox in next week's quarterfinals.
