Pitt has moved its Nov. 13 season opener against Wofford from a 7 p.m. start to an 8:10 p.m. start because it will celebrate last season's 31-win basketball season with a banner-raising ceremony before the game.
Pitt will raise an Elite Eight banner to the Petersen Events Center rafters honoring the accomplishment of making it to the fourth round of the men's NCAA tournament. It was only the second time in the modern era that Pitt reached the Elite Eight.
Fans are being encouraged to be in their seats by 7:45 p..m.
