Patterson sparks Brashear's victory

Bruce Patterson rushed for 100 yards on 24 carries and scored Brashear's first touchdown on a 14-yard run as the Bulls beat Peabody, 20-6, in the City League yesterday at Cupples Stadium.

Brashear (6-1, 6-1) also scored on a 24-yard pass from Henri Chatman to Ricky Gray, and field goals of 30 and 23 yards by Cody Magliocca.

Peabody (3-4, 3-3) scored its only points on a 74-yard pass from Devaughn Jemison to Shannon Binion.

Brashear accumulated 171 yards in total offense,.

Peabody had 170, but the Highlanders turned the ball over three times.

OTHER GAME
Oliver 14, Carrick 12

A 2-point conversion run by Martife Smith was the difference as the Bears (5-1, 5-1) edged the Raiders (2-5, 2-4). Oliver also scored on a 5-yard run by Shakil Brown and a 20-yard pass from Donte Jeter to Philip Ferguson. Ryan Roeper and Rafheed McKamey scored touchdowns for Carrick.
