The Allegheny County bomb squad was summoned to Westmoreland County last night, where authorities said someone with explosives was believed to have been in a building where police were attempting to serve a warrant.
Authorities would not release much information last night about the incident. But Allegheny County dispatchers said the bomb squad was called at about 8:30 p.m. to Exton Lake Road in Washington Township.
Westmoreland County District Attorney John Peck said local police and possibly officers from another agency had gone there earlier but he said he did not know what prompted them to do so.
No injuries were reported.
