The Andy Warhol Museum's Sound Series welcomes the Brooklyn-based band and art/performance collective MEN to the Warhol Live outdoor stage (weather permitting) at 8 p.m. The group focuses on the energy of live performance and radical potential of dance music. MEN began as the DJ/remix team of LE TIGRE members JD Samson and Johanna Fateman and quickly grew to include members Michael O'Neill (Princess, Ladybug Transistor) and Ginger Brooks Takahashi (LTTR, The Ballet). Be among the first to see "The Dutch Italianates: Seventeenth-Century Masterpieces From Dulwich Picture Gallery, London" at the exhibition's opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at The Frick Art Museum, 7227 Reynolds St., Point Breeze ($25, members $20, reservations recommended). The 39 paintings, by Dutch artists who infused their landscapes with the feel of the Roman countryside, are traveling for the first time from England's oldest public art gallery. The Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble opens its 2009 season with a world premiere by Pierre Jalbert. His "L'oeil ecoute (The Eye Listens)" is a collaboration with Belgian filmmaker Jean Detheux.
