Tomorrow is Independence Day. In observance of the holiday, city, county, state and federal offices and courts are closed today.

Post offices are open today, but many will shorten retail lobby hours. Regular mail delivery for today will not be affected. No mail will be delivered tomorrow.

Port Authority will operate normal weekday service today and on a holiday schedule Saturday and Sunday, with extra buses and two-car trains on the Light Rail Transit system tomorrow to accommodate those attending the Downtown fireworks display. The fireworks display will start at 9:35 p.m. Downtown.

State liquor stores will be open today but closed tomorrow.

Garbage pickup will not be affected by the holiday.
