The application process for Allegheny County infrastructure and tourism grants and loans will be very different for the next fiscal year.
Allegheny County Economic Development Director Dennis Davin said the agency will distribute $80 million in state gambling revenue over the next decade to help aid local economic development projects.
The board has received about 200 applications for this fiscal year, and some are still coming in. Some of the applicants who applied a year ago still do not know they will not receive money, he said.
Now, board members have established Sept. 1 and March 1 deadlines to give them time to determine which projects would best benefit from their funds.
