Washington County authorities are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at 3:50 a.m. yesterday.

An emergency dispatch supervisor said the one-vehicle crash happened on Old Hickory Ridge Road in Chartiers.

One person was killed and a second person was injured and was flown by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital.
