SOUTH SIDE: Advance tickets are available for the fifth annual Sample of Station Square co-hosted by the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society and Station Square, from 6 to 10 p.m. Aug. 6. A special passport allows people to access sampling stations set up in participating restaurants and shops. UPTOWN: A free TeleCommunity youth art show called "Historical Mystery Network" is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and tomorrow in the lobby of College Hall, Duquesne University campus, 600 Forbes Ave. The show features computer graphics, animation, mixed media, video and other digital projects created by area public and parochial school students in conjunction with university students.

FRIDAY

HILL DISTRICT: Hill House Association and Gateway Health Plan co-host an After the Fourth Job Fair Explosion from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the James F. NORTH SIDE, DOWNTOWN: The Manchester Craftsmen's Guild hosts a free Sculptural Summer Family Day from 4 to 9 p.m. at the guild facility, 1815 Metropolitan Ave., North Side. Among activities, visitors can view art created by students as well as works featured in an exhibition called "Space and Place." NORTH SIDE: The North Side/North Shore Chamber of Commerce sponsors a Celebration in the Park from noon to 5 p.m. at East Allegheny Commons, East Ohio Street and Cedar Avenue. Children and families can explore the North Side's many landmarks as the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh launches Pittsburgh's first-ever Where Is Allegheny City? Treasure Hunt, an interactive, family-friendly cell phone scavenger hunt. Participants need to pick up a free treasure map and bring their cell phones.
