The victim of a head-on collision Friday on Route 422 in Pine, Indiana County, has been identified by Indiana County Coroner Michael A. Baker.

Mr. Baker said Caleb Jon Strayer, 20, of Washington Avenue in Summerhill, drove across the center lane of traffic into the path of a tractor-trailer rig. The accident occurred at 4:06 a.m. two miles west of Strongstown on Nolo Hill.

The truck driver, Todd Hozak, of Marion Center, Indiana County, was not seriously injured.

Mr. Baker would not speculate on whether alcohol played a role in the crash, but toxicology tests are pending. He said the area was blanketed in heavy fog at the time of the accident.
