Cranberry -- Joe Negri & Mister Rogers Neighborhood Friends will perform at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Cranberry Rotary Amphitheater, Cranberry Community Park, Route 19. DONATIONS
Areawide -- Throughout July, North Hills Community Outreach will collect new backpacks and school supplies for distribution to low-income children in grades K-12. Needed are backpacks, appropriate for a variety of ages; pencils; rulers; scissors; crayons; markers; notebooks; and folders. Valencia -- Valencia Presbyterian Church is seeking donations for its medical lending closet to assist those in need of medical equipment. Equipment, including walkers, crutches, canes and more has already been collected to begin the program. Equipment donations can be brought to the church, 80 Sterrett St., during scheduled office hours, or arrangements can be made for pickup. Receipts for donations are available upon request. Butler -- Rainbow Animal Refuge, a nonprofit organization in Lyndora that helps stray, abandoned or abused animals find homes, will hold its Pistons for Pets poker run Saturday. Butler -- The Butler County American Legion Riders will be host to the Bikers for Vets motorcycle ride July 19. Riders can register from 10 to 11:15 a.m. in front of the Butler VA Medical Center, 325 New Castle Road. The 100-mile ride, with checkpoints, will start at 11:30 a.m. and end at the Lyndora American Legion Picnic Grove for food, music and prizes. Donations will benefit Butler County veterans.
