Allegheny County police are investigating a double homicide overnight in Stowe.

Police said the victims have been identified as Dahl Palm, 44, and Sonsiarae Watts, 45, both of the Stowe area.

The murders took place at Valley Street, across from Sto-Rox High School, where the man and woman were shot and killed in a private home.

Lt. Bill Palmer of county homicide said the two were shot about 4:30 a.m. yesterday in Ms. Watts' apartment bedroom.

He said Ms. Watts had a protection-from-abuse order for a former boyfriend, who police were interviewing yesterday afternoon.

"He is not under arrest, but he is a suspect," Lt. Palmer said. He added there was no indication at the scene that the shooting was drug-related.
