THE DEAL

Babcock & Brown Infrastructure Fund North America, a private investment firm, agreed to buy Dominion Peoples and Dominion Hope from Dominion Inc. for $910 million. The financing structure of the deal was not disclosed. Babcock & Brown Infrastructure intends to keep current management and workforce in place at both companies, although it will change the names, to Peoples Natural Gas and Hope Gas, respectively.

WHAT CUSTOMERS SHOULD KNOW

Other than name changes, the change in ownership should not be noticeable to customers.

WHAT EMPLOYEES SHOULD KNOW

The headquarters of Dominion Peoples will stay in Pittsburgh, and management will remain in place. No layoffs are expected.
