Soldiers & Sailors Military Museum and Memorial in Oakland will start accepting all qualified Pennsylvanians into its Hall of Valor starting tomorrow, a recognition previously restricted to residents of southwestern Pennsylvania.

To qualify for recognition in the Joseph A. Dugan Jr. Hall of Valor, a member of the armed forces must have been born, enlisted or lived in Pennsylvania for most of their life. Qualifying medals are the Medal of Honor, Distinguished Service Cross, Navy Cross, Air Force Cross, Silver Star Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross and Soldier's Medal.

The museum welcomes applications from any Pennsylvanian who meets the requirements. There is a $50 processing fee, and honorable discharge papers are required for verification.
