Pittsburgh police announced yesterday that Point State Park will be closed from the Block House to the fountain on Friday for the 9:30 p.m. July Fourth fireworks show, because the display will be staged from the Allegheny River nearby.

The Clemente Bridge will be closed from 8 a.m. Friday through 4 a.m. Saturday for the All American Bridge Celebration.

No stopping or parking will be permitted on city bridges during Independence Day events. Violators will be tagged and towed.
