The man who died Monday after jumping from the Westinghouse Bridge was identified as Charles Krug, 37, of Braddock, according to the Allegheny County medical examiner's office.
Mr. Krug was pronounced dead at 1:40 p.m. after authorities found his body on railroad tracks under the bridge. His death has been ruled a suicide.
A witness called 911 after spotting Mr. Krug walking back and forth on the bridge. When North Versailles police arrived, they found Mr. Krug standing on the outside of the bridge railing and tried but could not dissuade him from jumping, according to the medical examiner's office.
