County's 'most wanted' no longer on the run
Tuesday, July 01, 2008

A Duquesne man accused of killing a Braddock Hills man in January is in jail after more than five months on the lam.

Allegheny County homicide detectives arrested Andre Berry, 29, yesterday at the Econo Lodge motel in Kennedy.

He was wanted in connection with the Jan. 17 shooting death of Robert Kennedy, 29, whom police found slumped over the steering wheel of a van in the 400 block of B Street in West Mifflin. Mr. Kennedy had been shot multiple times in the head.

Mr. Berry is charged with homicide and escape.

As one of the county's most wanted fugitives, he had been featured on the Web site for the television show "America's Most Wanted," though police said that did not lead to his arrest.

Other arrests are pending, police said yesterday, though they wouldn't say how many.
