CAMPUS EVENTS

California -- The Summer Educational Enrichment for Kids Program for those in grades 1-8 will have two weekly sessions at California University of Pennsylvania. Hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 14-18 and Aug. 4-8. Children may attend a full-day week at $125; or $80 for a half-day week. Call 724-938-5840.

A few openings also are left for the Mon Valley Performing Arts Academy hosted by Cal U. Students ages 8-17 may attend classes and rehearsals for "Disney's Alice In Wonderland Jr." July 14-26. A $295 registration includes scripts, music, costumes, lunch and a souvenir T-shirt. Call 724-938-4220.

FOR CHILDREN

Nottingham -- A program for 3- to 5-year-olds will look at "critter cribs" at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Shelter 4 in Mingo Creek County Park. Sessions include a trail hike. Cost is $1 per child. Adult accompaniment is required. Call 724-228-6867.

HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS

Monongahela -- An Independence Day fireworks "extravaganza" will be at 9:45 p.m. Friday at Monongahela Aquatorium. Entertainment begins at 6. There will be a disc jockey, games, raffles and food vendors. Rain date would be Saturday.
