The Pirates today sent outfielder Nyjer Morgan to Class AAA Indianapolis and placed right-handed reliever Franquelis Osoria on the disabled list because of bursitis in his right ankle.

The Pirates also recalled right-handed reliever T.J. Beam, whom they'd just sent to Indianapolis Thursday night, and right-handed starter John Van Benschoten. Van Benschoten, available to pitch in relief tonight, is the Pirates' likely starter Wednesday night in Cincinnati.

Right-handed reliever Denny Bautista, struck on his right forearm by a line drive Friday night, was not put on the DL. The Pirates hope he'll be able to pitch again by Monday.
