Fatal crash may have been caused by racing
Saturday, June 28, 2008

State police believe a crash in Unity that left two people dead Thursday night might have been the result of a street race.

Driver James R. Stulga, 19, of Irwin, and passenger Brian P. Shervin, 19, of Landisville, Lancaster County, were traveling at a high speed at 10:45 p.m. on Route 130 when Mr. Stulga lost control of the 1999 Audi A4 and struck multiple trees. Both were pronounced dead at the scene by the Westmoreland County coroner.

State police said witnesses observed a Yellow Volkswagen Golf GTI possibly racing the Audi prior to the crash. Anyone with information was asked to call state police at 724-832-3288.
