A 12-foot section of southbound Route 60 in Crafton collapsed yesterday after a water main broke, sending water and debris through the street. It's unknown how long the stretch of roadway will stay closed, said Lt. Mike Crown, of the Crafton Volunteer Fire Department.
No homes appear to have been affected, he said, though a garage and several yards had some water damage.
The main broke about 4 p.m. near Route 60 and East Crafton Avenue, eroding a hillside and scattering trees and dirt for about a quarter-mile down East Crafton.
