A Pine man was killed early yesterday when his car veered off the road and struck a parked tractor-trailer truck on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
Jason Robert Morris, 25, was driving east on the turnpike at 2:12 a.m. when he lost control of his car in Mount Pleasant, the Westmoreland County coroner's office said.
Mr. Morris was trapped inside his vehicle after it struck the rear of the truck. He was not wearing a seat belt, the coroner said. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner John Ackerman.
