Another WPIAL football player commits to Ohio State
Monday, June 23, 2008

The Ohio State football team has landed its third recruit from the WPIAL class of 2009.

Gateway receiver-defensive back Corey Brown announced at a news conference this afternoon that he will attend Ohio State. Brown is ranked among the top 100 players in the country by some scouting services, and Pitt and Michigan also were among his finalists.

Brown is the second Gateway senior to choose Ohio State. Linebacker Dorian Bell made a verbal commitment to the Buckeyes a few months ago. Also, Jeannette running back Jordan Hall committed to Ohio State in the spring.

Ohio State landed star Jeannette quarterback Terrelle Pryor from the class of 2008. Pryor is now at Ohio State, attending classes and working out with the team.

High school seniors can't sign a binding letter of intent with a school until February.
