CONCERTS


North Strabane -- Canon-McMillan High School jazz and small ensemble bands will perform at 7 p.m. tomorrow in the high school auditorium.

Washington -- A Sunday Blues Series, sponsored by the Washington Jazz Society, will begin with jazz guitarist Tony Janflone Sr. with Dan Baker from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. next Sunday at the Cherry Blossom Bistro, 60 S. Main St. Admission is free. For reservations, call 724-225-1605.

HEALTH


South Strabane -- The Wilfred R. Cameron Wellness Center, 240 Wellness Way, will offer free skin cancer screenings from 5:30 to 7 p.m. tomorrow. Appointments are not needed.

Also, a series of free programs about hand and upper extremity problems will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday with "Overuse Injuries of the Upper Extremity." Others are scheduled monthly through August. Call 724-250-2824 to register or for details.

LECTURES


Washington -- David Miller, a museum educator at Bushy Run Battlefield, Jeannette, will speak on the battle of Bushy Run at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Citizens Library, 55 S. College St., presented by the Washington County Historical Society. He is a Commonwealth Speaker for the Pennsylvania Humanities Council. Admission is free.

LIBRARIES


Peters -- A princess party will take place from 7 to 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at Peters Township Public Library, 616 E. McMurray Road. Girls to age 8 may attend in their pajamas or princess costumes. There will be crafts, stories, activities and more. Parents are welcome.

Classic film night will present "The Gay Divorcee" at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Admission is free for both events. Register in advance at 724-941-9430.

MEETINGS


Washington -- Author David Post will be the guest speaker at the 6:15 p.m. Tuesday meeting of the City of Washington Chamber of Commerce in the George Washington Hotel, 60 S. Main St. He is the writer of "Dynamore! 5 Steps to Dynamic Customer Service and More." Networking will begin at 5:30. Admission is free, but reservations are recommended. Call 724-705-0706.

RECREATION


Nottingham -- A free spring celebration campfire will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Mingo Creek County Park's Shelter 2. There will be music, songs and stories. Marshmallows will be provided. Those attending should bring their own seating and refreshments. Required reservations may be made at 724-228-6867.

SALES


Washington -- A bath and beauty sale will held be from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday in the Garden Room at Washington Hospital, sponsored by the auxiliary. Proceeds will benefit the hospital.
