Sail Mortgage of Wexford has announced that Rick Sipes has joined its sales and marketing team as a loan consultant. He will specialize in FHA and VA programs, new construction and conventional lending.

OPEN HOUSE

Howard Hanna Real Estate will hold the Spring 2008 Open House Event today.

The company will have more than 2008 houses and condominiums open for public viewing from 1 to 4 p.m. Attendees can register at the open house for up to $400 in closing cost savings on a home purchase.

A special one-hour episode of Howard Hanna's "The Sunday Showcase of Homes" will air today at 11 a.m. on KDKA TV so potential buyers can plan their visits.

A federal housing official will join local real estate professionals for a fair housing symposium Wednesday at the University of Pittsburgh.

From 1 to 4 p.m., Kim Kendrick, assistant secretary in the Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity, U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development, will be keynote speaker and participant in "Agents of Change," a session to explore how Realtors and others can improve opportunities for Americans to find adequate housing.

The symposium will be held in the Pitt Student Union, dining room A, and is sponsored by Howard Hanna Real Estate Services and the Pittsburgh Commission on Human Relations. For more information or to reserve a seat, contact the commission at 412-255-2600.

Prudential Preferred Realty announces Springer Manor, a new community in Moon.

The building site is situated on a cul-de-sac near the International Airport, Robin Hill Park, shopping and Sewickley Village. It is located in the Moon Area School District.

On April 7, United States Ambassador to Ireland, Thomas Foley, welcomed Howard Hanna sales associates and managers to the Ambassador's official residence at Phoenix Park in Dublin, Ireland.

The group attended a cocktail reception and received a tour of the grounds.

Other trip highlights included a visit to The Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin, The Malton Hotel in Killarney and a black-tie Gala at the Royal College of Surgeons.
