Sam Young will return to Pitt for his senior season and will not enter his name in the NBA Draft. Young, a forward who averaged 18.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game, will be one of three returning starters next season for the Panthers, who will be one of the favorites in the Big East in the fall.

"In discussing my options the last couple of weeks with coach Dixon and my family, I feel that it is in my best interest to return to Pitt for my senior year," Young said in a statement released through the sports information department. "With the players we have returning to the team, we have the opportunity to accomplish something special next year. I can't wait to get the season started."
