Goodwill Hunting...Online!

By Jasmine Porch, Langley High School (City of Pittsburgh Schools)

How do you pass through high school without being ridiculed at least once for the clothes you wear, and how embarrassing would it be for someone at school to see you going into a thrift store? If you’re someone whose parents just get by or maybe you just like getting your moneys worth, I’ve found your solution. Goodwill has launched online shopping, with materials priced as low as $1 and as much as $165,00; but that’s only if you’re interested in one-of-a-kind paintings.
Many of us love thrift shopping, but hate the hunting. According to Joan Dornbach, vice president of marketing for Goodwill, and Ryan Smith, the Internet database for online Goodwill; you search through the images of what you would like and simply click. It takes up to 20 minutes at the most! This online flea market has categories such as: antiques, collectibles, clothing, electronics, books, and musical instruments.
How much nicer is it to just tell everyone you ordered your clothes off the internet, and at the same time the money is going to a worthy cause. Shopping has never been so much fun and now at a better prices, which is affordable for everyone!
