Man poses as Steelers' Roethlisberger to get dates
Friday, July 15, 2005

A Brentwood man has been charged with harassing two women after dating them by impersonating Steelers quarterbacks Ben Roethlisberger and Brian St. Pierre.

Brian Jackson, 31, was arrested by detectives from the Allegheny County district attorney's office and charged with criminal mischief and two counts of harassment.

Jackson was arraigned and released on his own recognizance. He and his attorney, Paul Boas, declined comment today as they exited the Pittsburgh Municipal Court building.

An affidavit said Jackson met one woman on the South Side in September and pretended he was Steelers backup St. Pierre. They dated. After she discovered his deception, he followed her home from work and surprised her at various places, the affidavit said.

Jackson met the second woman this summer and posed as Steelers starting quarterback Roethlisberger, the affidavit said. They dated. After she confronted Jackson and told him not to contact her anymore, he continued to call her, the affidavit said.
