Tuesday, September 21, 2004

The Allegheny County Coroner's Office today confirmed that the man whose body was found last night in Chartiers Creek was a man swept away in Friday night's floods.

Dennis Santiago, 35, drowned.

He was seen clinging to a tree in Carnegie Friday. He was found dead last night beneath the Thornburg Bridge.

See tomorrow's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette for a story telling more about Dennis Santiago, the sole person in this region to die in Ivan's flood waters.
