The Good, the Bad and the Beautiful
Affairs dog Rodriguezes, Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook

Boy, this is getting juicer than a burger hot off the grill!

Just days after all the rumors about Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez slipping in the darkness to visit Madonna, now comes news that his wife, Cynthia, is seeking solace in the arms of rocker Lenny Kravitz in Paris.

The New York Post is reporting that A-Rod's wife has been staying with Lenny in the City of Lights while her baby girls, 3-year-old Natasha and 2-month-old Ella are in Miami.

That doesn't sound like a good move.

Anyway, Lenny issued a statement to US Weekly yesterday denying that he's anybody's homewrecker.

"There is absolutely no affair between Cynthia Rodriguez and myself. This is unequivocally 100 percent not true."

He goes on to say that Cynthia is a friend and is there in Paris with the godfather of her baby, who is also Alex's trainer, his wife and their baby girl.

Lenny said he just opened his home up to Cynthia because she's trying to escape all the A-Rod/Madonna talk in NYC.

We can understand wanting to get away from the madness, but why leave your babies at home?

Our babies go where we go.

Let's move onto to marriage gone bad No. 2: Peter Cook and Christie Brinkley.

Gossip guys and gals are getting the full scandal monty on this one as it plays out in court. Of course, the New York tabs are all over it.

Christie testified yesterday about how the news of her hubby's infidelity with a stunning 18-year-old brunette hit her like a ton of bricks.

"I was in complete shock. I couldn't believe it."

In case you don't remember, she learned of Peter's tryst with Diana Bianchi from the girl's stepfather, Brian Platt, who approached her at a high school commencement ceremony two years ago.

Mr. Platt told her that he had to let her know what was going on because her husband wouldn't leave his stepdaughter alone.

Christie about lost it according to her testimony and that of her friend, Jill Rappaport.

"She was lying flat on the ground huddled over with her hands on her knees ... She was sobbing ... catatonic."

Sounds like girlfriend was a hot mess!

A few days later, Christie got Peter's computer password and found out he'd also been trawling the Internet for hookups.

"To come across that was beyond devastating. It was beyond humiliating. It was beyond your wildest nightmare that you could ever imagine," she said in court.

We know the former supermodel is just heartsick about all this but we truly wish all this nastiness was not out there for public consumption.

It's just a matter of time before her younger children hear all the details. Both parents should have thought more about them and less about themselves.

OK, time for some happy news. In Touch Weekly is reporting that Keith Urban has bought a little something special for his wife and mother of his expected child, Nicole Kidman.

The actress is said to be getting a $73,000 Cartier Trinity ring!

The three intertwined rings are set with multi-colored pave diamonds and are supposed to represent the different stages of a relationship -- yellow gold for friendship, rose gold for love and white gold for fidelity.

Given how even the seemingly perfect marriages end up, we pray this stays true for Nic and Keith.

Ooooh, we loved us some New Edition back in the day. Heck, we still love Ralph Tresvant, Ronnie DeVoe, Ricky Bell, Mike Bivins, Johnny Gill and even Bobby Brown, when he knows how to act.

It's hard to believe the fellas have been around for 25 years, but they were just honored for that fact by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

The guys also grace the cover of the latest Jet magazine, which hits the stands Monday.

They talk about the ups and downs of their careers and, of course, Bobby talks about them kicking him out of the group.

The brothers are going to be touring in September with or without Bobby, and we also heard that they've recorded a single with New Kids on the Block.

New Edition was doing their thing before NKOB and should have blown up much bigger than their fellow Bostonians, but you know how that goes.
