TRAFFIC: Hulton Bridge closes until Oct. 20, when new span opens

The Hulton Bridge will be closed today through Oct. 19 so construction crews can realign parts of Hulton Road to the new $65.7 million bridge, which opens to traffic Oct. 20.

Crews will reconstruct parts of Hulton Road from 3rd Street to the new bridge and also on Freeport Road. Detours will be posted. The bridge spans the Allegheny River between Harmar and Oakmont

Reminder: PennDOT recommends that in approaching lane-restricted work zones, motorists slow down, and if traffic is backed up, use all open lanes to the merge point, then take turns.
