Pregnant woman, man dead in apparent murder-suicide in Cecil

Autopsies are scheduled Thursday for a pregnant woman and her boyfriend in a case that began in a domestic dispute and ended in an apparent murder-suicide Wednesday night.

Washington County Chief Deputy Coroner Matthew Yancosek said the cause of death was a gunshot wound, both for Michelle A. Krek, 35, of Bridgeville, and Naader E. Rizk, 38, of Cecil Township.

While Ms. Krek's official address is listed as Bridgeville, Mr. Yancosek said she had been living with Mr. Rizk.

A news release from the coroner's office indicated that Ms. Krek and Mr. Rizk became "involved in a domestic incident" that their apartment in Cecil at about 7:14 p.m. Wednesday.

The Southpointe Town Center apartment complex is located at 1400 Main Street.

Cecil Township Police are investigating.

Mr. Yancosek said he does not expect any official rulings to be issued on the death of the unborn baby. Ms. Krek appeared to be about seven months pregnant, he confirmed.
