Sustainable Pittsburgh names new executive director

Sustainable Pittsburgh names new executive director

Joylette Portlock will become executive director of nonprofit Sustainable Pittsburgh in December.

She succeeds Court Gould, founding executive director of the organization. Mr. Gould left earlier this year after 20 years in the position to work for the Erie Community Foundation.

Ms. Portlock is currently the associate director of science and research at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and also is executive director of Communitopia, a nonprofit focused on climate change communication and healthy communities.

Sustainable Pittsburgh promotes sustainability programs for businesses and collaboration on regional policy initiatives for sustainability.
